# Product versions - Python SDK

> Read the draft, the baseline, or a published product version

A product has one working copy and a history of published snapshots. Point calculations at a snapshot when the inputs need to stay still.

* **draft** is the mutable working version
* **v1, v2, v3, …** are immutable published snapshots
* **baseline** is a pointer to one published version. Teams can move which version is marked baseline

```python theme={null}
prod = poelis.demo_workspace.demo_product
```

## List versions

```python theme={null}
versions = prod.list_product_versions().names
print(versions)
```

## Open draft, baseline, or a version number

```python theme={null}
draft = prod.draft
baseline = prod.baseline
v3 = prod.v3  # if it exists
```

## Open a version by title

Named versions use the title, for example `PROD 2025`:

```python theme={null}
prod_2025 = prod.get_version("PROD 2025")
```

  For reproducible results, read a specific version such as `prod.v12`, or `prod.baseline` when your process treats baseline as the current approved snapshot.
